Things to remember...

tumblinas:

‘Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways – a glass of wine in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming

I’ve got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.  Larry Bird. It may not be a law, but I can handle Larry’s theory. (via trappedintime)

Way to go Chaz !!!
Way to go Chaz !!!

First night out in Bloomington

Some people I know would laugh at this, considering that I have been here for almost 9 months now and only yesterday did I actually ‘go out.’ (Yes Deepti, I can see the L-word written large all over your face)

Well well… I had a great time ! Starting off with great dinner at Siam House (Hail Siam House !), a fantastic cranberry vodka at Kilroy’s with some awesome music, being stopped literally dead in my tracks by this HUGE guy sticking out his hand in an attempt to shake my hand and going “You’re gorgeous”, not to mention all the antics of other drunk ppl around me ;)

Sink the Biz at Nicks, though I didn’t officially play, I got pulled into the game by a very buzzed Jatin - no Jatin, my agenda was NOT to get YOU drunk…. What you did was suicide !!! :D Chaz was quite impressive too, with his attempt at drinking the ENTIRE bucket. Archana, getting away with spilling half her beer on Tabrez :P Kim’s guest appearance was rather enjoyable :D And how can  I forget drunk Mike - swearing in Hindi ! That was a sight !

Then of course, the rain ! Haven’t got wet in the rain in MANY months. (Going back home to India right now of course gives me ample opportunity to do so….Monsoon! Here I come :P)

Bluebird made me kick myself… I have NO idea why in all these days I have not been to Bluebird even once. There was a band (albeit one consisting of rather old and not so drool-able players) playing at Bluebird when we got there. They were really good ! I had almost forgotten the joy of listening to, swaying with and really enjoying live music. I vow to go there more often…

Thanks Deepti and Archana….would not have gone out if it hadn’t been for the both of you… :)
